Giugliano – A Carabinieri operation has uncovered a new and shocking reality in the heart of Giugliano: a family-run drug dealing hub, headed by a 41-year-old woman with no criminal record, who managed the drug trade from her home.

The episode, due to its dynamics and its location in an area not usually associated with this type of crime, caused a particular sensation.

The investigations and the raid

The incident began when the Carabinieri of the Giugliano company's operational section, on Via Giambattista Marino, noticed an unusual coming and going of people, apparently drug addicts, entering and exiting from the rear of a fenced building.

The military noted that the entrance was well protected: a door with welded bars and a video surveillance system, a veritable drug dealing fortress.

After careful observation, the Carabinieri waited for the right moment to intervene. One officer posed as a customer and took advantage of the moment the 41-year-old woman opened the gate for her sixteen-year-old son, who was returning home on his scooter.

The boy, initially suspected of being a "runner," actually had only a bag of freshly purchased croissants. The officers, however, took advantage of that moment to raid the apartment.

The arrest and the drama of the minors

Inside the home, the Carabinieri found an entire family: the 41-year-old woman, her four children, ages 20, 16, 14, and 8, and a two-year-old child, the son of the 416-year-old. The woman's husband, however, was already in prison for crimes related to Article XNUMX-bis.

The search led to the seizure of 26 doses of crack, 510 euros in small denomination banknotes, and a precision scale.

The woman was arrested and, as a mother and grandmother, taken to the police station, where she was charged. At the same time, social services were immediately alerted to take care of all the minors in the home.
