Naples – The Naples Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police) has dealt a severe blow to the counterfeit market by dismantling a clandestine laboratory in the Pianura neighborhood, used as a production and storage hub for counterfeit goods.
Two men in their fifties, both with criminal records, were arrested, while over 8.000 counterfeit products were seized. The operation, conducted by the "Baschi Verdi" of the Provincial Command's Rapid Response Unit, stemmed from an information-investigative effort that led to the identification of a building used as a printing press and warehouse, a hub for numerous illegal street vendors.
The facility supplied the black market with gadgets and counterfeit products, intended for sale at major sporting and musical events in the city, such as concerts and SSC Napoli matches.
During the raid, the financial police found over 3.000 counterfeit items, including T-shirts from the SSC Napoli and gadgets bearing the artist's logo Geolier, along with approximately 5.000 semi-finished products ready to be branded.

Professional machinery, including printers, frames, paints, computers, and toner used in the illicit production, was also seized from the premises. The two perpetrators, caught red-handed, were arrested on charges of counterfeiting and placed under house arrest pending judicial decisions.

The Guardia di Finanza continues to monitor the area to combat a phenomenon that, especially during high-profile events, finds fertile ground in Naples. However, the discovery of a laboratory Structured in this way, it highlights the need to intensify preventative controls to curb counterfeiting chains before products reach the streets.
With this raid, law enforcement reaffirms its commitment to protecting brands, consumers, and the local economy, sending a clear message to those responsible for illegal activities: Naples is no man's land.
