Arzano – Casoria – Casavatore. Consortium councilor and architect Nicola Pietrantonio, a member of the New Generations group, has launched a concrete proposal for the modernization of the Intermunicipal Cemetery Consortium.
During his tenure, the PagoPA digital payment system was fully implemented, allowing the Authority to verify user payments in real time, overcoming the limitations of traditional postal payment slips . This first step paved the way for more transparent and efficient management.
Digital communications and bills via WhatsApp, SMS, and email
The proposed initiative involves the activation of a multi-channel telematics system, which uses SMS, email and WhatsApp to:
• inform citizens of any unscheduled closures, extraordinary openings and other service communications;
• send the bills relating to the cemetery “condominium” and votive lamps, both ordinary and extraordinary (on the occasion of the main religious anniversaries such as Saints' Day and All Souls' Day).
According to the councilor, this solution would not only significantly reduce management costs, but would also optimize user relationships through a direct, updatable, and easily accessible channel.
Towards a more modern public administration
"Technology must serve to simplify people's lives and make administrative action more effective," says Architect Pietrantonio. "This proposal is intended to be a concrete contribution, especially as my term draws to a close. Participating in politics means leaving something useful, lasting, and geared toward the common good."
Once activated, the system could generate savings that would allow for a reduction in bills, giving citizens the benefits of more streamlined and transparent management.
The councilor has already formally requested that the proposal be included on the agenda of the next consortium board meeting, to initiate collegial discussion and assess its operational feasibility.
An app for digital service management is coming soon
In line with this proposal, Pietrantonio also announced his intention to promote the development of an official Consortium app, designed to collect and digitally update all documents and information useful to users. This tool would allow for more precise management of the entire cemetery system, making services more accessible, organized, and transparent.
A clear vision, geared towards innovation and service, that looks to the future with concreteness and a sense of responsibility.
An initiative welcomed with enthusiasm
The idea sparked enthusiasm among President Pappadia, all members of the Board, and Director Terracciano, a sign of openness to useful, sustainable, and shared innovation processes.
The idea of using SMS and email for communication is a good one, but not everyone has WhatsApp. Plus, there are many people who aren't very good at using technology, so I hope there are alternatives for those who can't keep up with all this.
