Fear erupted overnight in Avellino, where a car was targeted by gunfire in the city center. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Viale Italia.
According to initial reports, two people riding a scooter pulled up alongside a Volkswagen Polo and fired four shots. The bullets shattered the vehicle's windows but did not injure the occupants. Both attackers were wearing full-face helmets.
Officers from the Flying Squad responded to the scene and began an investigation. Investigators are currently analyzing footage from surveillance cameras in the area in an attempt to identify the perpetrators of the attack.
