Casavatore – Yesterday, August 5, the City Council unanimously approved an amendment to the Bylaws, introducing paragraph 7-bis to Article 7 of Chapter III.

This allows elected City Councilors, even if they do not belong to the same list, to decide to form a new political group, possibly with a new name, aimed at representing the political identity they intend to express in the City Council.

The formation of the new Group must be formally communicated to the President of the City Council and the Secretary General of the Authority. This new provision allows elected City Councilors to form new political groups, even among different lists, with the option of adopting a new name that reflects the political identity they intend to represent in the City Council.

"This decision," Sorrentino stated , "strengthens representativeness and freedom of expression within the Council, while also maintaining respect for the popular will expressed in the elections. This will make the City Council's functioning more effective and transparent. We thank all Councilors for their collaboration in this important process."

This new regulation approved by the city council seems interesting, but I don't know if it's the solution to the current problems. Let's hope the councilors can work better together and reach agreements.
