The investigation, coordinated by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, began thanks to the timely complaint from the parent of one of the victims. The man, checking his son's phone, discovered the messages the boy was exchanging with the arrested man. This vigilant act uncovered a chilling network of grooming.
The Carabinieri then conducted technical investigations on the 29-year-old's cell phone, discovering other victims and collecting testimonies from all the young men involved, thus confirming the validity of the accusations.
