Pomigliano – An employment crisis is keeping hundreds of Neapolitan families on tenterhooks. This is the situation facing workers at Trasnova, a company in the automotive logistics sector, who expressed grave concern in a recent statement ahead of the institutional meeting convened for September 16 at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (MIMIT).

Supporting their cause is Honorable Carmela Auriemma, a Neapolitan MP and deputy vice president of the Five Star Movement group in the Chamber of Deputies, who appeals to the government: "We cannot turn our backs on over 5 families living in uncertainty. A concrete commitment to protecting jobs and guaranteeing a dignified future for these workers is essential."

The Trasnova affair is part of a broader context of difficulties for the Campania automotive sector, closely tied to the production dynamics of the Stellantis group. The company, which operates key plants in the region such as Pomigliano d'Arco, was implicated by the congresswoman for its central role in the crisis. "Stellantis cannot continue to miss institutional meetings," Auriemma stated.

"It's unacceptable for a company of this size to shy away from discussion. It must sit down at the table and contribute to a shared and sustainable solution, in the best interests of its workers and the Campania region." The September 16th meeting will be a crucial moment in defining the future of Trasnova and its employees.

According to sources close to the unions, the crisis could be linked to a reorganization of Stellantis' logistics operations, which risks penalizing workers in related industries. Auriemma reiterated the need for open dialogue between all parties involved: government, company, unions, and worker representatives. "A concerted effort is needed to prevent this crisis from turning into a social catastrophe for Naples and Campania," he added.
