He was under house arrest for drug-related offenses, but he didn't give up his business. In Marcianise, a 24-year-old man was arrested again by Carabinieri officers from the local Carabinieri Operations and Radiomobile Unit, who raided his home last night and found a significant quantity of crack and cocaine. The drugs were carefully hidden among some of the home's appurtenances, concealed between pieces of wood, and already divided into doses ready for sale.
The operation began following repeated reports from residents, who were suspicious of the constant comings and goings of scooters and individuals at all hours of the day and night. When the officers arrived on the scene, they immediately noticed the suspicious activity and, after observing some suspicious movements, decided to proceed with a search. The drugs were well hidden, but not so well hidden as to escape the expert eyes of the Carabinieri: cocaine, crack, and all the necessary packaging materials were there, just a few meters from the living room.
The young man, who evidently viewed house arrest as a "convenience" to better manage his trafficking, was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to sell. He has now been transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison , where the only door he will see open is that of his cell.
It's incredible how this young man didn't understand the consequences of his actions. House arrest should make him think, but instead it seems like it's just a way for him to continue his drug trafficking. The authorities must intervene.
