Napoli – Notte di controlli serrati nei quartieri Soccavo e Rione Traiano, dove i Carabinieri hanno messo a segno un’operazione ad alto impatto: un arresto, otto denunce e ingenti sequestri di droga e armi.
This is the outcome of the operation conducted by the soldiers of the Bagnoli company and the Rione Traiano station. The target was Antonio Pugliese, a 22-year-old from Soccavo, already under house arrest.
The Carabinieri caught him outside his home, violating the restraining order, carrying a 7,65 caliber Beretta, which had been stolen in Latina. Upon searching his home, officers found another pistol with its serial number removed and a homemade explosive device weighing approximately 400 grams.
The young man was arrested and is now in prison, awaiting trial, on charges of possession of illegal weapons and receiving stolen goods. During checks in Soccavo, the Carabinieri reported four people for electricity theft: their home meters had been tampered with to bypass the grid and consume energy without registering.
Two more reports were issued for breaching security: the perpetrators were caught inside a previously seized premises, used as a drug dealing hub. The same fate befell two inmates under house arrest, caught on the street despite the ban.
The searches, also extended to the common areas of the Rione Traiano, led to the seizure of 250 grams of marijuana, 40 grams of cocaine, and 93 grams of hashish, confirming the police's focus on combating drug trafficking. The Carabinieri announced that checks will continue in the coming days to ensure safety and legality in the neighborhoods.
