A morning of extraordinary work in the area of the Church of Porto Salvo, in the heart of Naples. At the instigation of Mayor Gaetano Manfredi and coordinated by the Department of the Environment, the municipal task force for urban decorum has begun a cleanup and reorganization of public spaces.
Workers from the subsidiary Napoli Servizi carried out weed control , sweeping, and sidewalk washing, restoring greater decorum to one of the busiest areas of the city center.
A broader plan
The initiative is part of a program of actions launched by the Municipality to ensure ongoing care of the land and combat degradation, with the involvement of the Municipalities and participating companies.
In the coming days, the plan includes further interventions in other areas of the city, from the center to the suburbs, always under the direction of the Urban Decorum Committee led by Ciro Turiello.
I agree, but I wonder if there will really be the necessary funding to continue this type of work in the long term. Without serious planning, we risk returning to decay.
The cleanup and tidying up is very important for the city of Naples, but I hope it continues over time and isn't just a sporadic effort. Care for the area must be ongoing.
