The victim, still shaken and in pain, stopped a patrol from the Montecalvario Police Station on duty, recounting what had happened.

Once the alarm was raised, the officers entered the indicated building and, after identifying the apartment where the suspect was hiding, arrested him following a struggle.

The arrested man, a 40 year old Neapolitan with a criminal record police, was found in possession of two gold laces, one of which the tourist recognized as his own.

The man was arrested for robbery and assault and also charged with resisting a public official.

It's truly a serious incident that happened in broad daylight and in a crowded area like Pignasecca. It's unbelievable that people would act this way. I hope the victim recovers soon.
