Cerreto Sannita—The Carabinieri have arrested him again, this time without further remission. The man, a local criminal, had just returned home to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest, but decided not to comply even during the first few hours of the order.
In fact, he thought it would be a good idea to take part in a real party in his honor, organized in the parking lot in front of his house, to celebrate his return.
An impromptu gathering, but anything but discreet: amid dancing, toasts, and loud music, a neomelodic singer also appeared, entertaining those in attendance and—ironically—also documenting the whole thing on social media.
The videos, posted on TikTok and reshared by other users, show the star of the evening surrounded by friends and family, intent on celebrating as if it were truly a day of freedom.
But it was precisely those videos that ruined the party. Upon learning of the images, the Carabinieri of the Cerreto Sannita station immediately began an investigation. Analysis of the videos revealed that the man was outside his apartment, despite the order requiring him to remain inside.
Furthermore, the presence of numerous strangers, not authorized to frequent the suspect, represented a further violation of the provisions.
A carelessness—or arrogance—that cost him dearly. The evidence gathered led to the sentence being increased: the man was taken from his home and transferred to the Benevento prison, where he will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities. In addition to the sentence he was already serving, he will now also have to answer for the crime of escape.
An out-of-place celebration, in short, that earned him a ticket back to prison. And now, the toast will have to be postponed—this time, strictly behind bars.
