Giugliano – A robber, or perhaps better said, a "chicken thief," was stopped by the Carabinieri of Giugliano in Campania after carrying out two robberies worth just €30. He was identified by a detail that made him instantly recognizable on camera: a prominent tiger tattoo on his right arm.
Carabinieri from the Giugliano branch have arrested a 44-year-old man from Villaricca, already known to law enforcement, on suspicion of crime. He is believed to be responsible for two robberies that occurred on July 29th and 31st, both resulting in negligible loot.
The first occurred in a bar on Via Marchesella in Giugliano, where the robber, armed with a gun, stole €30 from the owner. The second, using the same methods and stealing the same loot, occurred in a bar in Villaricca.
The key to the identification was the meticulous work of the Carabinieri's mobile radio unit, who analyzed video surveillance footage and collected testimonies from those present. The tiger tattoo, clearly visible on his forearm, helped identify the 44-year-old robber , who is currently in prison awaiting trial.
