Torre Annunziata is in mourning. Nunzio Arcella, a 17-year-old boy involved in a serious car accident in Torre del Greco, passed away yesterday after a week-long battle between life and death.
The news, announced by Mayor Corrado Cuccurullo on social media, has thrown the entire community into despair.

It happened on the night of August 12th on Via Nazionale. Nunzio was riding a scooter with a friend when the vehicle collided head-on with a car.
His condition immediately appeared very serious, and the young man was rushed to the Ospedale del Mare, where he sadly passed away. The friend who was with him remains hospitalized.
"Torre Annunziata mourns yet another young victim of the road," wrote Mayor Cuccurullo, expressing the grief of an entire city. "It is a profound wound for the family, for the school community, and for the entire city.
