Yesterday evening, in a violent head-on collision on State Road 18, near Prignano Cilento, Santo Bottone, a 29-year -old father originally from Agropoli but resident in Borgomanero in the province of Novara, lost his life.
The impact, which involved his car and a camper, left him with no chance of survival.

The tragedy occurred on a stretch of the Cilentana highway notorious for its dangers, where roadworks and lane narrowings created a deadly bottleneck.

Emergency services were deployed immediately, with the intervention of the Fire Department, 118, and the Misericordia, but all attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful. The young man had been on a family outing in Palinuro and was returning home. His wife and two children, injured, were taken to the hospital for checkups, but fortunately their lives are not in danger.
