Giugliano – A shocking story, yet another tale of degradation and oppression against the most vulnerable.
I police of the Giugliano Company, on behalf of the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office – IV Investigation Section (Gender-Based Violence and Protection of Vulnerable Groups), executed a house arrest warrant against a forty-year-old man, seriously suspected of inducing and exploiting child prostitution.
According to investigators, between March and June 2025, the man systematically pressured his partner, then just sixteen, into prostitution. Not only did he procure clients for her, but he also arranged meetings in secluded locations or hotel rooms and kept the profits for himself.
A disturbing picture, the result of wiretaps and investigative activities that led the investigating judge of the Court of Naples to order the precautionary measure.
The news has deeply shaken the community of Giugliano and the entire Domitian coast, an area already marked by marginalization, institutional neglect, and illegal networks that end up affecting the most vulnerable: women, migrants, and, as in this case, adolescents.

The exploitation of the child prostitution It's an often hidden phenomenon, breeding ground for poverty and social fragility. Behind the crime stories lies a tragic reality: minors deprived of their childhood, manipulated, and forced to sell their bodies for the profit of others. A scourge that affects not only large cities, but also extends to the surrounding towns, where enforcement is more difficult and social hardship is more widespread.
The Giugliano case is unfortunately not an isolated one. In Campania—as child protection organizations point out—the risk of grooming and sexual exploitation is growing alongside the rise in vulnerable situations: broken families, young people left without a point of reference, and the misuse of social media as a channel for supply and demand to connect.
Today's arrest represents an important step forward in repressive measures, but the issue of prevention remains open: education, psychological support, and concrete interventions to break the cycle of poverty and abuse. Because behind every legal case lies a victim who will struggle to erase the scars of what they endured.
The Giugliano incident starkly and brutally illustrates how the exploitation of child prostitution is not a distant or invisible scourge, but a drama unfolding silently beneath our very doors.

The article is very interesting and makes you reflect on a reality that many people are unaware of. Stories of child exploitation are increasingly common, and more should be done to help these people. It's sad to see such serious situations.
