CAIVANO – “I stand with Don Maurizio Patriciello, along with the Pol.is Foundation and the families of innocent victims of crime, as a priest, as president of Pol.is, and as a man.” With these words Don Tonino Palmese expressed his closeness to Don Patriciello, victim of a violent act during a liturgical celebration in Caivano.
According to Don Palmese, the episode recalls a past in which the altars were violated by the murderous strategies of the Mafia and the Camorra.

I think Don Palmese is right in saying that organized crime causes serious damage, but I think more concrete action is needed to stop these violent acts. It's sad to see how violence also affects places of worship.
It's important to support Don Maurizio Patriciello in these difficult times. Violence against sacred places is a worrying phenomenon, and we must never forget the past. Don Patriciello's commitment is fundamental.
