Caivano—Not just a traffic dispute, but a true affront to her dignity. This is what Romina, mother of a child with disabilities and local representative of the "La Battaglia di Andrea" association, experienced near her son's school.
The fault? Asking another parent to vacate the parking space reserved for people with disabilities.
The incident, which occurred in recent days but was publicly reported on Friday, September 26, is unbelievable. Romina, simply asking for the law to be respected, was verbally assaulted with a barrage of insults and swear words, in front of other parents and students.

"I was speechless," says the woman, still shaken.

The protest doesn't stop at the complaint. The incident prompted Romina to take action, announcing a formal complaint to the extraordinary commissioners of the Municipality of Caivano.
The requests are precise: "I will ask that the signage of the stalls It should be redone, making it clear and visible, and that checks be stepped up. It's unacceptable to have to fight every day for a parking space, and above all, it's intolerable to be harassed for it."
For Romina, the issue transcends a personal incident and becomes a test of civility for the entire community. "That parking space isn't a privilege or a favor," she concludes, "it's a right enshrined in law. If we want to build a more just society, we must begin with respect for those living in vulnerable situations. As a representative of the association, I feel it's my duty to advocate for concrete solutions."

It's incredible how some people don't understand the importance of respecting reserved spaces. It's not just about parking, but about dignity and respect for those in need. We hope the authorities will intervene to improve the situation.
