The police found and seized several doses of drugs hidden in strategic locations around the city: small packages of marijuana and hashish hidden in Traversa Cantieri Mercantili and a larger quantity of narcotics, including cocaine and crack, discovered in an elevator shaft in the Savorito district.

The drugs, already prepared for retail sale, were confiscated. During the checks, 10 people were caught with small quantities of drugs for personal use and reported to the Prefecture.

The operation involved the checks of dozens of vehicles and over 200 people, with numerous fines issued for traffic violations.

The most common violations? Failure to have a vehicle inspected, driving without insurance, and using a cell phone while driving. A weekend of intense activity for law enforcement, confirming their ongoing commitment to protecting the Castellammare area, both in preventing and repressing crime.
