Giugliano – An illegal mechanical and body shop was discovered by Carabinieri officers from the Varcaturo station in Giugliano, Campania, during a joint operation with the Pozzuoli Forestry Corps, as part of checks to combat environmental crimes in the so-called "Land of Fires."
A 60-year-old local man was reported for illegal waste management and illegal activity. The investigation, conducted in an area of approximately 750 square meters used as a garage, uncovered an uncontrolled dump of waste, including hazardous materials.
Among the finds were a disused jet ski, a car undergoing repairs, and six abandoned vehicles, some of which contained additional waste.
