Napoli vs. Sporting: Extra-long metro and Cumana train services after the Champions League match

Naples is preparing for Champions League night, a highly anticipated event that will involve the entire city.

NAPLES – The city is preparing for the Champions League night. For the match between Napoli and Sporting Lisbon, scheduled for Wednesday, October 1st at 9:00 PM at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Trenitalia and EAV are increasing rail services to facilitate the influx and outflow of fans.

Regional of Trenitalia, in agreement with the Campania Region and the Municipality of Naples, will guarantee seven additional journeys on Metro Line 2: five direct towards San Giovanni–Barra and two towards Pozzuoli, for a total of 3.

400 more seats. Trains will depart from the Campi Flegrei station after the final whistle, with the ticket office open until the end of the event. Access will be granted only to those with valid tickets, while FS Security staff, along with law enforcement, will guide passengers to the platforms. The Piazza Leopardi station will be closed from 22:30 PM.

Also the Cumana The service will be enhanced: EAV has announced 33 special services on the Montesanto–Bagnoli route, starting at 9:00 PM and lasting until after midnight, departing from the Mostra–Maradona station. This extraordinary service is designed to avoid disruption and ensure the safety of thousands of fans arriving and departing from the Fuorigrotta area.
