Naples . What was supposed to be a routine traffic stop turned into the arrest of a fugitive. It happened in Piazza Giovanni Leone, where a motorcycle patrol from the Territorial Intervention Group of the Naples Local Police stopped a man riding a moped.
When asked for his documents, the driver appeared nervous and attempted to rush the check, providing personal information that turned out to be false. Suspicious, the officers investigated further, discovering his true identity: he had a warrant for arrest issued by the Court of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, following a final conviction for aggravated robbery.
The man was immediately arrested and transferred to Poggioreale prison, where he will serve the sentence already imposed. However, his troubles don't end there: he will also be charged with making false statements to a public official.
