Ischia - Following heavy rainfall that hit the island of Ischia, a torrent of mud and debris formed in the locality of Monterone, in the municipality of Forio, overwhelming two cars of the Carabinieri.
The cars, a Fiat Tipo and a Fiat Panda, were parked in dedicated spaces near the barracks and were swept for several metres by the force of the water, which transformed the road into a raging stream.

It's truly incredible how a torrent of mud can form so quickly. The Carabinieri vehicles were swept away and are now beyond recovery. I hope the situation improves soon for everyone.
