Autumn is making its way to Italy, bringing with it an Atlantic low-pressure system that will transform the summer weather into a more autumnal one in just a few hours. Temperatures will drop by up to 10 degrees compared to previous days, forcing Italians to dust off their sweatshirts and jackets.
The worsening weather will be more evident in the North and in the Tyrrhenian regions, with thunderstorms, heavy showers and hailstorms, especially in eastern Liguria, upper Piedmont and upper Lombardy.

Meteorologists report that in the next 48 hours Italy will see a clear change: while in the North the rainfall and cool temperatures will continue, in the Centre the bad weather will be widespread in the Tyrrhenian regions and in the South the first thunderstorms will affect the Campania Northern Italy. The outlook for the following days remains variable and cool, with possible sudden rain showers. The first snowfalls in the Alps at 2.000 meters are also possible.

I think severe weather is necessary for the environment, but some stability in forecasts would be welcome. Every year, there seem to be more and more extreme events, and this is worrying.
I agree with Enrica, rapidly dropping temperatures can cause problems. Let's just hope there isn't too much damage from thunderstorms and hailstorms, especially in the North where there's a greater risk.
This article explains climate change well, but I'm not sure all the information is accurate. Weather forecasts are sometimes difficult to interpret and always change depending on the region.
