Naples - He continued to sell drugs from his balcony despite the restrictive measures he was already under.
Naples – Ignoring the restrictive measures he was already under, he was selling drugs directly from the balcony of his home. A 58-year-old Neapolitan man, already under house arrest for drug-related offenses, was arrested yesterday afternoon by State Police in the Barra neighborhood for possession of illegal substances with intent to distribute.
The man was caught red-handed by officers from the San Giovanni- Barra Police Station , who were carrying out extraordinary operations ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat drug trafficking.
The dynamics of the arrest: observation and the raid
The raid took place on Via Pasquale Ciccarelli, where plainclothes officers had set up a lookout. The choice of location was no coincidence: the area had long been under scrutiny by law enforcement for suspicious activity.
Within minutes, the police noticed the 58-year-old man, leaning out of the balcony of a ground-floor apartment, making an exchange with three different people, trading a small package for money.
After documenting the three sales, the officers stopped the buyers, finding them in possession of cocaine. At this point, the officers decided to intervene directly at the man's home.
During the search, a package of cocaine and €160 in cash, divided into banknotes of various denominations, were found, likely the proceeds of the drug dealing activity that had just taken place.
The 58-year-old was immediately arrested and taken to the police station, while the three buyers were reported and fined for possession of narcotics for personal use. The State Police operation underscores their ongoing commitment to monitoring and dismantling drug dealing centers, even those that operate seemingly discreetly.

It's truly incredible how someone can continue dealing despite the restrictions. I hope the authorities will enforce more controls and prevent such illegal activities from taking place in our neighborhood, because safety is important.
