BENEVENTO – A crackdown on illegal work in the Sannio region: in three different businesses, between Forchia, Pago Veiano, and the capital, the Guardia di Finanza discovered five undocumented workers, including a minor. The checks, conducted by officers from the Benevento Provincial Command , uncovered a series of serious violations, resulting in fines of over €30 and the suspension of the businesses involved.
Specifically, in Forchia, finance officers from the Montesarchio branch found four undeclared employees, never recorded in the accounting records and lacking any form of social security protection. The company was fined €10.300 and reported to the Territorial Labor Inspectorate to suspend operations. In Pago Veiano, at a workshop, staff from the Benevento Group discovered a failure to track payment records for two workers, imposing a €20 fine on the owner.
Finally, at a hair salon in Benevento, financial police discovered an employee working illegally, resulting in the suspension of that business as well. The Provincial Command explains that the Guardia di Finanza will continue its sweeping checks to address irregularities that harm both workers and fair competition between businesses.
