Naples – Penitentiary Police raided the Nisida Juvenile Detention Center. This morning, during a routine search, officers found a significant quantity of hashish hidden inside a cigarette pack.
The substance was in possession of a young inmate who had just returned from a regular leave of absence. The boy was immediately reported to the Public Prosecutor on duty.
Staff shortage and spirit of service
The operation, coordinated by Dr. Eleonora Ascione, department commander and director of the Penitentiary Police, takes on particular importance in light of the serious operational difficulties that the staff is forced to deal with on a daily basis.
