Caserta: Man beaten on the street for traffic reasons: reported

According to what was reconstructed by Carabinieri of the Santa Maria a Vico station, who promptly rushed to the scene following a call to 112, the argument apparently broke out over trivial reasons between a 43-year-old local man and a 52-year-old pensioner, both residents of Cervino.

The argument, initially verbal, quickly escalated into a physical attack: the 43-year-old allegedly kicked and punched the pensioner, leaving him on the ground in serious condition. Emergency medical services arrived quickly and provided first aid to the victim, rushing him to Caserta Civil Hospital.

Here, the 52-year-old underwent thorough tests and was admitted to the hospital with a guarded prognosis, although his condition is not considered life-threatening. Doctors are monitoring the evolution of his clinical condition, which shows significant but not critical trauma.

Meanwhile, the Carabinieri have identified the attacker, who has been charged at large with grievous bodily harm. The investigation, coordinated by the Judicial Authority of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, is ongoing to further clarify the circumstances of the incident and the accused's responsibilities.

Investigators are gathering testimonies from local residents, some of whom reportedly witnessed the scene, to reconstruct exactly what happened. The episode has shocked the community of Cervino, a small town usually far from such serious episodes of violence. Via G.
