Rome — A fully-fledged criminal organization, well-structured and well-established in the capital, which combined prostitution and drug dealing in an almost corporate manner.
This is what they have reconstructed Carabinieri of the Roma Centro Company, coordinated by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office - Widespread and Serious Crime Department, at the end of a lengthy investigation lasting over four months.
In the past few hours, the military has executed an arrest warrant against 11 Colombian citizens, seriously suspected of criminal conspiracy aimed at transnational recruitment, inducing and exploiting prostitution, and drug dealing.
The arrested were taken to the Regina Coeli prison and Rebibbia, while Don Carlos' wife was tracked down in Torre del Greco, in the company of three girls who were prostitutes, and where she had set up another lucrative call girl ring, and taken to Secondigliano.
The “door to door” system
The investigations, conducted between April and August, revealed the existence of a criminal network composed exclusively of Colombian citizens. Each had a specific task: recruit young women from their homeland, arrange their arrival in Italy, place them in "dormitories," and immediately introduce them to prostitution, requiring them to repay their travel, food, and lodging expenses.
At the top, according to investigators, was a man known as "Don Carlos," supported by his wife and sister-in-law, considered the "matrons" of the group. They controlled a system of drivers, chauffeurs, escorts, and pimps, all coordinated by a 24-hour operations center. This center scheduled appointments and accompanied the girls on their travels to hotels, villas, and private apartments, even outside Rome.
Prostitution and drugs
Women not only offered sexual performance, but they were also instructed to supply cocaine and tusi (known as "pink cocaine") to clients who requested it. Each meeting was recorded and accounted for: payment was made via bank transfer to an account in the owner's name, and the young women were not allowed to leave the house until the transaction was confirmed by the switchboard.
To evade controls, the girls were trained to ingest the drug, codenamed "Fiesta," and to never reveal their real address or the reasons for their stay in Italy. The organization also guaranteed legal assistance in the event of arrest and managed weekly work and rest shifts, continuously updating their profiles and photos on online dating sites.
The kidnappings
During the investigation, the Carabinieri have already arrested three people red-handed for drug dealing and reported five others, seizing quantities of marijuana, cocaine, and pink cocaine. During the raid that led to the arrests, the following were found:
19 g of cocaine
20g of pink cocaine
112 g of marijuana
4,5 g of MDMA
7 scales and packaging tools
19.670 euros in cash, plus 2.659 dollars and 30 pounds

In the searched homes, the military documented the presence of about ten young Colombian women, along with various materials used for prostitution.
