Around 22 p.m., a motorcycle carrying a man and a woman suddenly lost control inside the Monte Sant'Angelo Est tunnel, heading towards Capodichino, crashing into the barriers.
According to initial reports, the impact was extremely violent: the driver died instantly, while the passenger, a woman traveling behind him, survived only a few minutes before succumbing to the serious injuries she sustained.
A 118 crew immediately intervened on the spot and tried in vain to resuscitate the woman, together with the patrols of the Police Police and to the technicians of the tangential, committed to reconstructing the dynamics of the incident and restoring traffic flow.
