NAPLES – Montecalvario's nightlife has come under law enforcement scrutiny. Yesterday evening, the State Police, with officers from the Montecalvario and Pianura police stations, supported by the Guardia di Finanza, the Local Police, the Labor Inspectorate, and the Naples 1 Central Health Authority, intensified checks in the heart of Naples' nightlife.

During the operation, 55 people were identified, nine of whom were already known to law enforcement, and eight businesses were inspected. Administrative irregularities were discovered in several cases, and two businesses were fined for illegally occupying public land.

But the most significant blow came when officers from the Montecalvario Police Station caught a 48-year-old Neapolitan man with a criminal record on Via Emanuele De Deo selling a package of hashish to a customer. The man was arrested for possession with intent to distribute narcotics, while the buyer was reported for personal use.
