Naples – A courageous campaign to free businesses from the grip of extortion. The new campaign to join the anti-racketeering agreement launched today in two iconic neighborhoods, Pianura and Ponticelli, promoted by the associations SOS Impresa Rete per la Legalità aps and Pianura per la Legalità aps in memory of Gigi and Paolo aps.

The goal is ambitious: to create an increasingly dense network of entrepreneurs who refuse to pay protection money, breaking down the wall of silence and fostering a culture of reporting. The initiative, which began in the neighborhoods where the first anti-racketeering outposts in Campania were established, will expand to all the districts of Naples and the provinces of Naples and Caserta, eventually covering the entire region.

The strength of this agreement, inspired by the successful Anti-Racketeering Pact model for construction companies, lies in its simplicity and the concrete support it offers. Membership is completely free. In exchange, companies undertake to comply with racketeering prevention regulations and, above all, to immediately report any attempted extortion.

On the other hand, the associations provide a solid safety net: legal support for navigating complaints, psychological assistance for overcoming the trauma, business consultancy, and a practical guide for accessing the Solidarity Fund for victims.

"We want to make it clear to businesses that they are not alone," is the underlying message. To join, simply send a request via email to info@sosimpresa.org or info@antiracketpianura.it, attaching the completed form, the updated Chamber of Commerce registration, and the legal representative's documents.

The campaign is supported by the Campania regional program ESF+ 2021-2027, as part of a specific objective to strengthen services for disadvantaged individuals and victims of racketeering and usury. It signals that institutions and civil society are joining forces to ensure a future free of illicit activity for the Campania economy.

It's important to see initiatives like this because it helps businesses avoid the threat of extortion. We hope other neighborhoods will join this campaign for legality. Collaboration is essential, but it takes time to change mentalities.
