Naples – They had turned the life of a young foreign woman into a nightmare of insults, threats, and violence. After months of harassment, two young men—an adult and a minor—were subjected to precautionary measures executed by the San Giovanni-Barra Police Station, on behalf of the competent prosecutor's offices.
The operation began on September 19, 2025, following a thorough investigation that revealed a pattern of hatred and discrimination . The adult was banned from approaching the victim and the places she frequented, and was given an electronic bracelet; the minor, however, was placed in a community, a measure deemed necessary to limit his dangerousness.
According to what has emerged, the two suspects—in collusion with each other and with other yet-to-be-identified youths—had repeatedly persecuted the woman with episodes of stalking aggravated by racial hatred.
The comments directed at the victim leave little doubt as to the discriminatory motive: “You fucking black girl,” “Whore, go back to your house.”
A spiral of harassment that lasted nearly a year, from November 2024 until the latest incidents documented in recent weeks. The harassment was not limited to insults: the investigation reports physical assaults and actual acts of violence.
In one instance, the boys allegedly spat in the young woman's face and attempted to run her over with a vehicle, then trying to snatch the cell phone she was using to film the scene.
Those very images, shown to investigators, provided evidence deemed "indisputable" by the investigators. The victim's courageous complaint was supplemented by the testimonies of other individuals interviewed by investigators, which helped paint a serious and alarming picture.
The police investigation , launched immediately after the latest attack, quickly identified the alleged perpetrators. Now the prosecutor's offices—the ordinary prosecutor's office for the adult and the juvenile prosecutor's office for the other boy—deem them seriously suspected of stalking and other criminal conduct, aggravated by racial hatred.
