The agents of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station were monitoring the movements in Piazza Carlo III when they noticed a man on a scooter exchanging a package for money with a passerby. The suspect, noticing the police, attempted to flee, accelerating, eventually hitting one of the officers while trying to gain ground. After a frantic chase, the dealer was caught and subdued, not without difficulty.
In his pockets, the police found three packages of cocaine, totaling approximately 1,5 grams, and €625 in banknotes of various denominations, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing. The young man was arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities, while investigations continue to trace his network of contacts and drug supply channels.
