Naples – A street scene involving drugs hidden among children's toys led to the arrest of a 20-year-old in the Scampia neighborhood. The State Police have pulled off another crackdown on drug trafficking, thanks to extraordinary checks ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters.
Officers from the Scampia Police Station, while patrolling Via Labriola, noticed a man using an unusual hiding place for his drug dealing.
From a plastic chute located in a public park, the boy took some packages and then sold them to another individual in exchange for money. After the transaction, the buyer quickly fled, but the dealer was immediately apprehended by officers.
During the search, the officers found €150, divided into small bills, the obvious proceeds of the illegal activity. The real "treasure," however, was still in the chute: well hidden beneath the structure, they found 29 packages of cocaine (weighing approximately 11 grams) and 11 packages of heroin (approximately 4 grams).
The young man, identified as a 20-year-old with no criminal record, was arrested and will face charges of drug dealing and possession.
