The 39-year-old man was hit in the face by numerous pellets: he is hospitalized at the San Leonardo hospital in Castellammare.
Castellammare – Another injury, yet another, this hunting season. A 39-year-old hunter from Vico Equense arrived at the emergency room of the San Leonardo Hospital in Castellammare with a bloody face.
The man, struck by a hail of pellets, suffered multiple abrasions, a shocking experience that has brought to light the risks and carelessness that often accompany hunting trips.
The accident occurred this morning in the Monte Comune area, one of the favorite hunting areas in the Vico Equense area. Initial, fragmentary information gathered by the Carabinieri of the local station, who promptly arrived at the scene, indicates that the man was injured by a firearm held by another hunter.
Fortunately, the injuries are not serious: doctors have estimated a prognosis of 10 days. However, the episode once again raises crucial questions about the safety and responsibility of hunters.

It's incredible that accidents like this still occur during the hunting season. Safety should be the top priority for all hunters, yet we see that this isn't the case. More must be done to prevent these situations.
