A two-day silence, then fear and a race against time. It was the timely intervention of the Carabinieri of Valle di Maddaloni to save the life of a seventy year old struck by an illness in his home. The alarm was raised yesterday afternoon by the man's son, a 37-year-old resident of Sorrento, who had been trying in vain to contact his father for hours.

Concerned by the lack of answers, the young man decided to turn to the Carabinieri Station of the Caserta municipality, asking to verify the parent's conditions.

The officers quickly arrived on the scene and, after several attempts to call and knock on the door, realized something was wrong. The doors were locked from the inside, so they decided to force entry to enter the house.

Once inside, they found themselves faced with a dramatic scene: the man was unconscious on the bed, but still alive. Without wasting time, the police alerted the 118, who intervened immediately. After receiving initial treatment on the scene, the elderly man was rushed to Caserta Hospital, where he was admitted. Fortunately, according to the latest news, it would not be life threatening.

It was a very bad situation, but luckily the police arrived in time. Children should always keep an eye on their parents, especially when they don't answer calls. This is important for safety.
