An old scam has returned to Italy and is claiming new victims. Using the guise of an "Amazon gift," scammers are taking over users' WhatsApp accounts using a simple but dangerous phone scam.
It all starts from one anonymous callA friendly voice announces: “Hi, you've received a small gift from Amazon. Open WhatsApp to receive it.The promise of the alleged gift induces the victim to follow the instructions, unaware that he is falling into a trap.
After the call, the victim's number is added to WhatsApp and the request arrives send an OTP code, or a temporary password.

It's a little worrying that these scammers use such ingenious methods to deceive people. I personally received a similar call and didn't know if it was real or not. It's important to be well-informed.
