Yet another workplace death in Naples and its province. A continuing string of deaths.

Names, surnames, and shattered lives add up day after day in a sad tale that Campania continues to endure.

Today, a 63-year-old worker lost his life in a warehouse in Mugnano, near Naples, while yesterday another worker was taken to the Ospedale del Mare in serious condition after a collapse in Castellammare di Stabia. Numbers that become faces, stories, and shattered families.

The latest victim: falls from the roof of the warehouse

Yet another tragedy occurred today in Mugnano. A 63-year-old worker climbed onto the roof of an industrial warehouse to retrieve some tools. During the operation, he lost his balance and fell to the ground. Immediate rescue efforts were not enough: he was rushed to Cardarelli Hospital in Naples, where he died shortly after admission.

The Policeto reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident, ascertain the man's working position and verify compliance with safety regulations.

The conditions in which the work took place and the presence of adequate protective equipment remain unclear.

Another worker injured yesterday in Castellammare

Yesterday, another emergency had already shaken the province: a worker was seriously injured in Castellammare di Stabia, during renovation work on a villa. Again, a fall resulted in an emergency transport to the Ospedale del Mare. A war bulletin repeating itself.

The North Naples prosecutor's office has ordered the body to be seized pending an autopsy. Officers from the Giugliano in Campania police station are currently investigating the incident.

The forgotten massacre: insufficient controls and unheard appeals

The Mugnano case is not an isolated one, but the latest in a chain of deaths that, since New Year's Day, has threatened to surpass all limits of tolerance. Unheard appeals, insufficient controls, and a system seemingly incapable of protecting workers.

Many companies, taking advantage of the lack of work and desperation, employ low-skilled workers without complying with the most basic safety standards. Inspections remain sparse, and safeguards are often nonexistent. Meanwhile, workers continue to die, leaving only anger, grief, and one question: when will this silent slaughter end?
