Giugliano – A targeted drug bust was carried out by the Carabinieri of the Giugliano Company. At the center of the operation was Roberto Posillipo, a 38-year-old with a criminal record, who was arrested on charges of possession and trafficking of narcotics.
The Carabinieri Operations Section, a planned operation to target drug supplies in the area, conducted a house search. Inside the Posillipo residence, officers discovered a veritable arsenal of narcotics and the tools of the trade.
The haul seized is significant: 62 grams of hashish and 16 grams of cocaine, ready to be placed on the market.

The Carabinieri also seized 395 euros in cash, sums which, according to investigators, constitute the profits of the criminal activity.
The man, born in Mugnano di Napoli on July 20, 1987, was no stranger to the attention of the justice system. At the time of the raid, Roberto Posillipo was already on probation, placed on probation by social services, and awaiting further trial. This fact significantly aggravates his situation, painting the picture of a repeat offender.
After his arrest, he was taken to prison, awaiting a court appearance for a validation hearing and to answer the new charges against him. The operation demonstrates the constant vigilance of law enforcement in the area and the crackdown on known individuals, despite the availability of alternative measures to detention.

The article about Roberto Posillipo's arrest highlights an important issue regarding drug trafficking and the Carabinieri. However, I wonder whether these operations are truly effective in combating this serious problem in the long term.
