Ischia – Alarm was raised on the island of Ischia this afternoon due to a large fire that broke out in the municipality of Serrara Fontana. The flames, which developed in the area above Provincial Road 475, required the immediate intervention of authorities and the temporary suspension of traffic for safety reasons.

To this end, the coordination team has ensured the prompt dispatch of additional firefighter personnel and volunteers. This logistical transfer is guaranteed thanks to the collaboration of the Port Authorities of Naples, Pozzuoli, and Ischia, which have provided transportation to the island.
Investigations into the causes of the fire are ongoing, while the priority remains the complete cleanup of the area and the safety of the road.
