Naples - After yesterday's raid by the Municipal Police that resulted in the seizure of merchandise and T-shirts on display in Largo Maradona, in the heart of the Spanish Quarter, a glimmer of hope for a shared solution has emerged.

In fact, a discussion table between the Municipality and merchants is planned to restore one of the most iconic and visited places in the Neapolitan capital.

The announcement comes from Angelo Pisani, Diego Armando Maradona's longtime lawyer and now the defense attorney for one of the merchants involved in the seizure. Pisani met with the Director General of the City of Naples to discuss the situation in the area, which over the years has become a veritable "secular sanctuary" dedicated to the Pibe de Oro.
"We've reached," Pisani explains, "an initial, important, common-sense agreement regarding the reopening of the tourist site and the prompt redisplay of the memorabilia dedicated to Diego Armando Maradona. All parties involved reaffirmed their shared commitment to combating counterfeiting and illicit activities, as well as their desire to preserve a symbolic and cultural heritage of all of Naples."
In the coming days, an institutional meeting will be convened to define the best administrative and management solutions to ensure the preservation, enjoyment, and enhancement of the site, a destination for tourists and fans from all over the world.
"The reopening and restyling of Largo Maradona," Pisani adds, "represents an important signal for the city. It's not just a point of reference for fans, but a popular heritage, a bridge between memory, culture, and civic identity. We will work with the institutions to combine legality, security, and local development."
The goal is clear: to quickly restore to the city a symbolic space that unites sporting devotion and community spirit, preserving its memory while respecting the rules.

The article discusses an important situation for Naples and its merchants, but it raises many questions. Will it really be possible to find a solution that satisfies everyone? And how will tourists react to this change? I hope we can do well.
