Giugliano in Campania – Dawn turned blue in the Roma camp on Via Carrafiello, where the Carabinieri's flashing lights illuminated the early hours of the day. A large-scale joint operation, conducted by the Giugliano company with the support of the forestry units of Napoli e Pozzuoli, the National Institute for Environmental Protection (NIPAAF), the National Emergency Management Agency (NOE), the local police, and the municipal social workers. Enel technicians were also present to check the electrical connections.
The inspection, aimed at combating environmental crimes and illegal occupation, yielded significant results: approximately 300 cubic meters of metal waste and another 270 cubic meters of unsorted waste were seized in the camp, some of which was already on fire.

Thirteen people, all residents of the camp, were reported for land invasion. The military also recorded 37 vehicles, eleven of which were seized for serious traffic violations. The Carabinieri operation in Giugliano seems positive because it combats environmental crimes. But I wonder if these measures are truly effective in the long term in improving the situation of those living in the camp.
