Torre del Greco – Another serious accident on the city's roads. This morning, shortly after 1:00 a.m., Via Circumvallazione was the scene of a violent collision between a motorcycle and a car driven by a 21-year-old local woman.
The impact was devastating: the one who suffered the worst was the motorcyclist, a 28-year-old from Torre del Greco, who was thrown several meters onto the asphalt.
Emergency services arrived immediately, transporting the young man in critical condition to the Ospedale del Mare in Naples, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit. His condition remains critical, the prognosis is guarded, and doctors describe his life as being in danger.
On the spot were attended by i Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco radiomobile section, who carried out the surveys to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident
According to an initial hypothesis, yet to be confirmed, one of the two vehicles may have partially crossed into the oncoming lane, causing the head-on or side-on collision. However, the investigation is ongoing, and footage from surveillance cameras along the road will be crucial.
The car, a small car driven by the 21-year-old, was seized for technical inspection.

The dramatic crash on Via Circumvallazione adds to a disturbing series of accidents that, in recent weeks, have shaken the community of Greek's tower.
Just a few days ago, an elderly woman was hit by a car on Via Litoranea, suffering serious injuries. She later died in the hospital.
And just last week, another accident along Via Nazionale involved a young scooter rider who ended up in hospital with multiple fractures.
A trail of blood that reignites the debate on road safety in the city, especially at night and on weekends, when main arteries often become speeding lanes.
Residents and business owners have long been calling for structural improvements: speed bumps, speed cameras, and a greater police presence at the most dangerous points, such as Via Circumvallazione, Via Litoranea, and Via Nazionale.
The citizens' appeal
"We can't keep counting accidents every week," commented a local resident. "At night, cars speed by like they do on the highway. We need more enforcement and visible signage."
Meanwhile, the Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office has opened a case of very serious injuries from a road accident and is awaiting the results of the technical and clinical tests.
Another night of fear, then, in Torre del Greco, where the streets continue to turn into death traps, and where each new accident seems to repeat a tragic story already seen, one of speed, carelessness, and lack of safety.
