Afragola - A raid by officers from the Afragola Police Station led to the arrest of a young drug dealer, caught red-handed while selling a large dose of cocaine to a customer.
The operation, which is part of a broader plan of extraordinary checks ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat drug dealing and arms trafficking, took place yesterday afternoon on Via Cinquevie.
The dynamics are the classic ones of "retail" drug dealing.

The 20-year-old, a resident of Afragola and already known to law enforcement for a prior drug offense, was stopped and searched. The search resulted in the discovery of five doses of cocaine, weighing approximately 3 grams in total. Inside a purse in his possession, officers also discovered a block of hashish weighing approximately 6 grams, a precision scale, drug packaging materials, and €1.545 in cash, divided into various denominations, presumably the proceeds of the sales.
While the alleged pusher was arrested and taken to jail pending validation of the arrest, the buyer managed to escape on his scooter, taking advantage of the confusion. Investigations are continuing to determine his identity.
The arrested young man will now face charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics. The incident confirms law enforcement's commitment to a relentless fight against drug trafficking, which affects both large-scale dealers and small-time local dealers, with ongoing and targeted operations like this one in the Via Cinquevie "den."
