Afragola - A routine check turns into a drug bust. Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Afragola Police Station arrested a 19-year-old from Acerra, caught selling hashish in broad daylight on Corso Meridionale, one of the city's main streets.
The operation is part of the extraordinary territorial control operations implemented by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat drug dealing. The officers' watchful eyes focused on the young man, who was observed suspiciously and cautiously handing something to another individual in exchange for money.
The State Police intervened immediately.

The buyer was also identified and fined with an administrative fine for possession of narcotics for personal use, after he was found in possession of the dose he had just purchased.
The young drug dealer, however, was taken to prison pending a sentencing hearing. The raid demonstrates, once again, the commitment of law enforcement to combating small-scale drug dealing, a phenomenon that continues to affect urban areas despite repeated crackdowns.
