Afragola, increased security with 35 new cameras: the Prefect's plan

AFRAGOLA (NA) – After the latest episodes of violence that have shaken the city, the Prefect of Naples Michele di Bari has convened the Provincial Committee for public order and safety to take stock of the situation in AfragolaThe meeting was attended by the Police Commissioner, the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri, the Provincial Commander of the Guardia di Finanza, the Councillor for Legality, the Commander of the Municipal Police, and the city's Mayor.

Despite a general decrease in crimes in the last eight months compared to the same period last year, the Committee has decided to intensify surveillance and controls on the territory.

Among the main measures envisaged is the video surveillance project financed by POC legality funds from the Ministry of the Interior, which will lead to the installation of 35 new cameras distributed across six strategic sites.

These will serve to constantly monitor the most frequented areas and the vehicular and pedestrian flows, strengthening safety and the perception of control by citizens. Prefect he underlined the constant commitment of the police forces in fighting criminal phenomena, with a strategy aimed at guaranteeing concrete results and consolidating urban security.
