During a meeting held yesterday, October 8th, between representatives of the SGB union and the new management of CoopService, the company formally committed to awarding higher contractual status to logistics workers who have been performing more highly skilled tasks beyond their level for years. This result puts an end to a long-running dispute and will have a direct economic impact on workers, including the payment of back wages.
The meeting, which focused on organizational restructuring, contractual levels, and workplace safety, marked a turning point after a period of tension and mobilizations promoted by SGB.
