Casal di Principe – A cocaine trafficking ring was dismantled in the middle of the night by the Carabinieri. At the center of the operation, which resulted in an arrest, was a 49-year-old local man already known to law enforcement.
The Casal di Principe Company's action left no escape. The man was caught red-handed during a territorial patrol aimed at combating small-scale drug dealing. Upon their arrest, officers found approximately 9,5 grams of cocaine in his possession, ready for sale.
But it was the subsequent house search that revealed the criminal activity in its entirety.

To complete the picture, there was also the small cash: 50 euros in small denomination bills, which according to investigators represent the proceeds of the evening's sales.
After the usual formalities, the arrested man was taken by order of the judicial authorities to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he will await trial. The operation, though small-scale, demonstrates the constant attention of law enforcement in targeting the retail drug trade, which often acts as a link between organized crime and the local community.
