The long legal case that for years involved one of the most famous brands in Neapolitan shopping ended with a clear verdict: full acquittal "because the fact does not exist". This is what the fifth collegiate criminal section of the Court of Napoli – presided over by Judge Sorrentino, with Ferrigno and De Stefano on his flanks – cleared the five defendants, sons of the founder Alfredo Barbaro, who passed away in 2018, of the charge of fraudulent bankruptcy.
The proceedings dated back to 2016, when Barbaro srl, owner of the famous luxury clothing and accessories stores, was at the center of an investigation into an alleged four million euro bankruptcy.
